Scattered within the naturally wooded 6.5 hectares grounds by the river!
The best of camping in the Périgord Noir is here
Running alongside the Céou, a tributary of the Dordogne, the campsite stretches out amidst a forest of hundred-year-old oaks, where a large authentic building stands, which blends the Périgord way of life and slow life. This impressive traditional farmhouse, the genuine nerve centre of the campsite, accommodates you every day for a drink with friends or advice on visiting the region’s tourist spots.
The reception area has been entirely redesigned to favour conviviality and sharing. In this non-work/home environment (third place), you can equally borrow a book, book a trip in the region or even buy a decorative item, created by one of the area’s craft specialists.
Regarding accommodation, discover our timber or tiny house cabins each having a private terrace, new or renovated in a wooden, country style. Only Slow Village has the secret for these! A new glamping offering in the Dordogne!
Make the most of the Périgord dolce vita, whether reading in a hammock under the oak trees, paddling in the river or splashing about in the 300 m² water park. Also remember the numerous countryside and cultural activities, offered on the campsite and in the surrounding area. Amongst the prehistoric caves and fortified castles of the loveliest villages in France (with the “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France” designation), you’re unlikely to be bored. What would the holiday be without the delights of the local gastronomy? This is a good thing, as our restaurant menu combines to perfection healthy and creative cuisine with seasonal produce. Would you still like some of it? Don’t wait any longer and book your stay!
Time for a swim…
9 a.m. After gently waking up, time to prepare a lovely breakfast for all the family. During your holiday, it’s pain au chocolat (or pain au chocolatine if you prefer!) every morning. In addition to a bar-restaurant, offering you hot drinks and orange juice in the morning, a bread and sweetbreads and buns outlet is guaranteed every day. Enjoy on the restaurant’s outdoor terrace, with a coffee or in your tiny house – you choose!
11 a.m. At this time, the temperature quickly picks up a few degrees more. Despite you holiday homework suggestion, your children are demanding a swimming session to cool down. You have a dilemma: would you prefer to splash(!) into the crystal-clear river or a swimming session in the pool? Why not both.
