Castles by the thousand, caves by the dozen
Dubbed the region of 1001 castles, the Périgord Noir is the perfect destination for chivalrous adventures as a family. Set out to conquer one of the 42 fortified castles open to the public. To make the visit more attractive, numerous educational tours are organised throughout the entire year. At the Bridoire castle, you can try on medieval armour, and even test your accuracy skills on one of the wooden games in the gardens.
During your stay on our Dordogne campsite, stop at one of the most visited tourist attractions in France. Famous for its cave paintings, the Lascaux cave is one of the most significant prehistoric decorated caves of the Palaeolithic era. If this visit alone is not enough, numerous potholing activities take place in the region. With a guide, go to the heart of one of these underground cavities, looking for hidden gems.
Instead, would you prefer cycling,
walking or canoeing?
